VINCENT G. KEENE
President
Vince has been a professional engineer since 1991 and has been with Yarbrough-Williams and Houle, Inc. a total of 14 years. He has over 28 years of experience in land development. Vince is a responsive, experienced engineer who is directly involved in the project management of land development projects. He understands that responsiveness, design quality, and client satisfaction are key goals to project success. His land development design experience for complex projects includes the design development and project management of residential, commercial, and industrial projects as well as federal and military installation infrastructure.
Mr. Keene has managed civil design teams for 14 years preparing plans for all aspects of infrastructure. Vince’s recent key projects include Farmington mixed use development and Red Stone commercial/retail district for Merrifield Patrick Vermillion (MPV), Cypress Point single family development for DR Horton, Longfield Commons single family and townhome development for True Homes, Commercial Building Expansion for Telware Corporation, and Winterlake single family development for Pearson Land Corp.

TODD GODFREY
Todd joined Yarbrough-Williams & Houle, Inc. in 1987 and is currently the Vice President and manager of Engineering Design. He started his career with the company working on a survey field crew. After many years of field-survey experience, he transitioned into engineering/surveying design in 1993.
Throughout the years, Todd has been responsible for a multitude of tasks including drafting, lead survey crew coordination, lead sewer and water design, roadway design and improvements, client relations, and project management. Using his extensive experience in the land design industry, he has played a major role in the growth of the firm over the past 30 years. In Todd’s spare time he enjoys going to church, spending time with family, playing golf, and riding his Harley.
JOSEPH E. WHALEY
Vice President/ Treasurer
Joseph E. Whaley Jr has been a Professional Land Surveyor since 1997. Having started with Yarbrough-Williams &Houle Inc. in 1987 as an Autocad Drafter and surveyor in training, Joseph believes he can provide you with turn key service providing consistently well informed boundary line and subdivision decisions. Joseph enjoys seeing the raw land become finished residential or commercial subdivisions housing happy families and commercial tenants.
Joseph has worked with the various planning departments in North Carolina including Mecklenburg County, Iredell County, Union County, Cabarrus County , Lincoln County, Catawba County and in South Carolina including York County, Greenville County, Lancaster County to record thousands of residential subdivision lots as well as commercial subdivision lots.
These lots are located in some of the best known residential and commercial communities in these counties including Skybrook Golf Course, Red Stone, The Palisades, Brandon Oaks, Highland Creek, Bradford Farms, Mallard Creek, Mallard Oaks, 521 Commercial Center, Hunter Oaks, Highgate, Riverbend, Bromley, and St. Johns Forest. Joseph is also experienced in providing residential and commercial lot ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys and commercial lot plats.
LORI F. SCHMITT
Chief Financial Officer
Lori is a native of Charlotte and joined the Yarbrough-Williams & Houle team in 2022. She is a graduate of the UNCC Belk School of Business and has over 20 years of accounting experience. Lori brings strong leadership and problem-solving skills to her role.
As the Chief Financial Officer, Lori works directly with the management team to develop & implement the company’s long term financial strategies. In her role as CFO, Lori manages the Finance & HR departments and collects & integrates data into the financial software. She provides financial reports to the board of directors, improves internal processes, manages procurements, and performs all day-to-day accounting & HR functions.
